WHAT YOU MAY BE EXPERIENCING

  • Stress & Burnout: You’re constantly “on,” juggling responsibilities at work and home, but there’s never enough time to focus on you. The pressure to excel leaves you exhausted, disconnected, and longing for peace.

  • Anxiety & Depression: Your thoughts race, you’re on edge, or maybe you feel a deep heaviness that you can’t shake. It’s hard to focus, and even harder to find the energy to face another day.

  • Trauma & Isolation: Past experiences may haunt you, whether they’re from childhood, work, or personal relationships. The pain lingers, making it difficult to fully engage with life or trust others.

  • Relationships & Family Dynamics: Whether it’s conflict with a partner, strained family ties, or feeling misunderstood by loved ones, navigating relationships can be overwhelming.

  • Intersectional Oppression: The unique stress of navigating professional spaces as a Black woman often feels like carrying an invisible, yet undeniable weight. You might wonder, "Does anyone else see what I’m going through?"

MY APPROACH TO THERAPY

My therapy approach is collaborative and compassionate, providing a nonjudgmental space where your voice is central.

I use evidence-based and culturally-sensitive methods tailored to your unique needs, blending approaches such as:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Helping you build psychological flexibility, align your actions with your values, and create space for difficult emotions.

  • Trauma-Informed Care: Recognizing the impact of past experiences while fostering safety, trust, and empowerment.

  • Black Psychology & Feminist/Womanist Theory: Centering your lived experience as a Black woman and exploring how cultural, social, and systemic factors impact your mental health.

In our sessions, we’ll work together to:

  • Identify and name what you’re experiencing.

  • Explore the history and patterns contributing to your current challenges.

  • Articulate your goals and values to create a clear vision for change.

  • Take actionable steps toward healing and growth.

  • Build habits and systems of support that sustain your progress.
